my sender ≠ their receiver

I’m a messenger

(we are all messengers)

I don’t get to choose the message that other people receive from me

I can just shape the message that I send

my sender ≠ their receiver

I tune my own transmitter

they tune their own receiver

(and vice versa)

I really have no say in others’ receivers and how they’re tuned

my channel isn’t the “right” or “good” or “best” channel

it’s a channel.

our tunings have so much to do with context - conditioning, direct external environment, personal cycle of development, collective cycles, systems of power and oppression…

what I can do is tend to my own tuning. of my transmitter and of my receiver.

and I do that by listening

… a lot more than transmitting

I remember that listening, receiving, can happen on many levels in innumerable ways

that everything is alive around me

and they’re all messengers

we’re all messengers for each other
